It All Works like Clockwork.  Think of the Rotary Wheel as a collection of all the clubs meshed together.  Each gear rotating, aligning and moving the body together.

As International Chair, I would like to keep the club informed about the Fourth Avenue of Service and their contributions to the Rotary International Foundation.  After our annual foundation drive, the club's portion of contributed funds comes back to the club as District Designated Funds (DDF) to be used both as international and local projects.  Our club is involved in two international, outstanding projects which are the Future Vision Project know as the Guatemala Literacy Project  and the Coachella Valley Health and Water Project.

The success of these projects is the accomplished by partnering with other Rotary Clubs.  The GLP is a seasoned and successful project with the support of over 400 Rotary Clubs from USA, Canada, Cayman Islands and the United Kingdom.  The new pilot program, Coachella Valley Health and Water Project is a cooperation between the Swan City, Grand Prairie, Canada  Rotary Club and our District 5530.  Both projects were made possible in part by grants from the Rotary Foundation International.

Any members of our club are welcome to participate in the International Committee or join in the fun of distribution of books and dedication of compute labs in Guatemala February 2014.  Sign Up by September 1.   It will be an unforgettable Rotary experience! For more information go to our link at: www.guatemalaliteracy.org
